Hirsch Closson represents insurers and public entities in a variety of progressive property damage and injury claims involving large and small sites. Our representation has included liability arising from Superfund sites; oil recycling facilities; dry cleaners; mineral manufacturing and asbestos-related matters.  We have experience in both direct representation of public entities and direct representation of insurers / insurer interests in environmental litigation pursuant to Probate Code Section 550 et seq.  Our experience extends to inter-insurance disputes, judgement creditor claims, public entity claims by entities such as regional water quality control boards and department of toxic substances control; and includes underlying disputes pursuant to both state common law, state statutory law and CERCLA.
